<p><strong>About This Role</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Youth Ministry Leader</strong> at House of Mercy Christian Assembly plays a vital role in mentoring and supporting young church members, organising youth events, and developing impactful youth programs. This position requires a passionate and spiritually mature individual who is dedicated to guiding young people in their faith journey and fostering a sense of community within the church.</p>
<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities and Tasks</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Mentor and Support Young Church Members</strong>, providing spiritual guidance, encouragement, and biblical teaching.</li>
<li><strong>Organize and Lead Youth Events</strong>, including retreats, conferences, mission trips, and social gatherings.</li>
<li><strong>Develop and Implement Youth Programs</strong> that align with the church’s vision, focusing on discipleship, leadership, and spiritual growth.</li>
<li><strong>Lead Weekly Youth Services and Bible Studies</strong>, creating an engaging and relevant environment for young members.</li>
<li><strong>Engage with Parents and Church Leadership</strong> to ensure holistic support for youth members.</li>
<li><strong>Encourage Youth Participation in Church Activities</strong>, fostering their involvement in worship, outreach, and service opportunities.</li>
<li><strong>Train and Equip Youth Leaders and Volunteers</strong>, empowering them to take active roles in ministry.</li>
<li><strong>Coordinate Outreach Programs</strong> to engage young people in community service and evangelism efforts.</li>
<li><strong>Provide Pastoral Care and Counseling</strong> to address spiritual, emotional, and social challenges among the youth.</li>
<li><strong>Utilise Social Media and Digital Platforms</strong> to connect with and inspire young church members.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Strengths &amp; Skillset</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong <strong>leadership, mentoring, and communication</strong> skills.</li>
<li>Passion for <strong>youth ministry and discipleship</strong>.</li>
<li>Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate <strong>youth programs</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience in <strong>event planning and coordination</strong>.</li>
<li>Knowledge of <strong>biblical teachings and Christian discipleship</strong>.</li>
<li>Comfortable using <strong>social media and digital tools</strong> for ministry outreach.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively with <strong>church leadership, volunteers, and parents</strong>.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Reporting Structure</strong></p>
<p>This position reports to the <strong>Senior Pastor</strong> and collaborates with the Worship and Communications teams.</p>
<p><strong>Personal Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>While not directly related to the job role, every staff member at House of Mercy Christian Assembly is expected to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain <strong>God-ordained priorities</strong> by putting <strong>Jesus Christ first, family second, and ministry third</strong>.</li>
<li>Give <strong>at least 10% of income</strong> toward the mission and vision of House of Mercy Christian Assembly.</li>
<li>Be <strong>loyal</strong> to the vision and staff of House of Mercy Christian Assembly and protect the unity of the church.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a <strong>Christ-like attitude</strong> in all interactions with the congregation, staff, and volunteers.</li>
<li><strong>Invest and invite</strong> others to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and participate in House of Mercy Christian Assembly programs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your Schedule</strong></p>
<p>This is a <strong>full-time, salaried position</strong> requiring approximately <strong>40 hours per week</strong>. The schedule includes <strong>weekday youth activities, Sunday services, and flexibility for special events and ministry needs</strong>.</p>
