<p><strong>About This Role</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Music Teachers and Tutors</strong> at House of Mercy Christian Assembly play a vital role in leading and mentoring musicians, training the choir, and assisting in worship preparation. This role ensures that the church’s music ministry is well-coordinated, spiritually enriching, and executed with excellence.</p>
<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities and Tasks</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct <strong>individual and group music lessons</strong> for various instruments and vocal training.</li>
<li>Mentor and coach the <strong>church choir</strong> to enhance their musical skills and spiritual development.</li>
<li>Assist in the <strong>preparation and execution of worship sessions</strong>, ensuring high-quality performances.</li>
<li>Develop and implement a structured <strong>music education curriculum</strong> aligned with the church’s vision.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the <strong>Worship Leader and Media Coordinator</strong> to plan and organize special musical presentations and events.</li>
<li>Provide guidance on <strong>song selection, arrangement, and performance techniques</strong> for services and events.</li>
<li>Maintain and manage the <strong>church’s musical instruments</strong> and ensure their proper use and maintenance.</li>
<li>Engage with church members and encourage <strong>community participation in music ministries</strong>.</li>
<li>Stay updated with current <strong>worship music trends</strong> and integrate new techniques where appropriate.</li>
<li>Assist in coordinating <strong>music rehearsals</strong> and ensure proper time management for scheduled performances.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Strengths &amp; Skillset</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in playing at least one <strong>musical instrument</strong> and strong <strong>vocal training abilities</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience in <strong>choir directing, music education, and worship leadership</strong>.</li>
<li>Strong <strong>teaching, mentoring, and organizational</strong> skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively with the <strong>Worship and Communications teams</strong>.</li>
<li>Passion for <strong>ministry and using music as a tool for spiritual growth</strong>.</li>
<li>Strong communication and leadership abilities.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Reporting Structure</strong></p>
<p>This position reports to the <strong>Worship Leader/Coordinator</strong> and works closely with the church leadership and choir members.</p>
<p><strong>Personal Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>While not directly related to the job role, every staff member at House of Mercy Christian Assembly is expected to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain <strong>God-ordained priorities</strong> by putting <strong>Jesus Christ first, family second, and ministry third</strong>.</li>
<li>Give <strong>at least 10% of income</strong> toward the mission and vision of House of Mercy Christian Assembly.</li>
<li>Be <strong>loyal</strong> to the vision and staff of House of Mercy Christian Assembly and protect the unity of the church.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a <strong>Christ-like attitude</strong> in all interactions with the congregation, staff, and volunteers.</li>
<li><strong>Invest and invite</strong> others to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and participate in House of Mercy Christian Assembly programs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your Schedule</strong></p>
<p>This is a <strong>full-time, salaried position</strong> requiring approximately <strong>40 hours per week</strong>. The work schedule includes <strong>weekday lessons, rehearsals, and Sunday services</strong>, with flexibility for special events and additional training sessions.</p>
