About This Role

The Worship Leader at House of Mercy Christian Assembly plays a crucial role in leading the congregation in worship, mentoring musicians, and coordinating worship activities. This position requires a spiritually mature and musically skilled individual who can create an atmosphere of praise and worship that aligns with the church’s mission and vision.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

• Lead Worship Sessions during Sunday services, prayer meetings, and special events, fostering an environment of spiritual connection.
• Mentor and Train Musicians within the worship team, helping them develop their musical and spiritual gifts.
• Coordinate Worship Activities by planning song selections, rehearsals, and special performances in collaboration with the church leadership.
• Develop Worship Setlists that align with sermon themes and enhance congregational engagement.
• Oversee Technical Aspects of worship, including sound, lighting, and live streaming to ensure a high-quality worship experience.
• Encourage Congregational Participation by selecting songs that engage and uplift the church community.
• Collaborate with the Pastoral Team to integrate worship into the overall church ministry.
• Organize Special Worship Events, such as concerts, praise nights, and seasonal worship programs.
• Stay Updated with Worship Trends and introduce new songs and styles that fit within the church’s worship culture.
• Ensure the Spiritual Growth of the worship team by organizing prayer meetings, devotionals, and team-building activities.

• Proficiency in singing and playing musical instruments.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

• Deep understanding of biblical worship principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership and volunteers.
• Passion for spiritual and musical development.
• Experience with live sound and multimedia technology is a plus.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Senior Pastor and collaborates with the Media and Communications team.

Your Schedule

This is a full-time, salaried position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. The schedule includes Sunday services, weekday rehearsals, and flexibility for special events and ministry needs.
